The people of Abiriba community in Ohafia Local Government area of the state, has commended the state chief executive, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu for flagging off a five kikometre ring road in the community.
In a chat with The Union, a chieftain of the peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and a prominent son of the community, Chief John Kalu stated that the happiness of , “his people has no bounds”.
According to him, the governor promised to complete the ring road in 60 days time with accompanying street lights and gutters. Kalu who disclosed that the completion of the road will reduce traffic and congestion being witnessed in the community , extolled the state government for taking a positive step in positioning the state ,especially in Aba.
“Aba is now wearing a new look with distilling of drainage system into the Aba river. What will drive the change in Abia is our collective contribution and human resources and since the help has come. we have to be part of the process by contributing our own quota.Ikpeazu will do well but we are also expected to give him the enabling support to move this state forward”, he said.
