Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia has announced the dissolution of the state Executive Council (EXCO) of the former Governor Theodore Orji administration. Okezie who announced this in a state wide broadcast on the Broadcasting Corporation of Abia (BCA) in Umuahia appreciated members of his predecessor’s EXCO ‘’for a job well done over the years”.
He directed the former commissioners to hand over to the permanent secretaries of their ministries by the close of business yesterday. On the heels of the cabinet dissolution, Dr Ikpeazu also announced the first set of appointments in his administration with the appointment of Chief of staff, Mr Chijioke Nwakodo, Deputy chief of staff. Mr John Nwagborogwu, Chief Press Secretary. Mr Godwin Adindu Special Assistant Media. Mr Ojo Maduekwe, Special Assistant Media. Mr Ugochukwu Emezue, Special Adviser Project Monitoring &Implementation. Engr Emma Nwabuko, Special Adviser Political (Aba Urban Renewal). Dr Solomon Ogunji. Other appointments made by Ikpeazu are Special Adviser on Special Duties. Chief Ukpai Agwu Ukpai, Director of Protocol. Mr Valentine Ifeanyi Okpechi, Special Adviser on PPP & Investment Promotion. Mr Austin Ufomba, Special Adviser on Economic Planning Mr Obinna Oriaku, Special Adviser on Due Process. Chief Hon Kalu I. Udoma, Secretary to the State Government.
