Driver Found Dead In Car

Police in Lagos is investigating the death of a commercial bus driver who was found dead in his vehicle at Berger garage.

The police in Lagos have commenced investigation into the death of a 45- yearold driver identified as Big Daddy who was discovered dead in his commercial vehicle in Lagos.

The driver was reported to have died at the Berger motor park, in his commercial bus last week.

Sources said the deceased who is married with a child, is an Indigene of Odogbolu, Ogun State.

It was gathered that Big Daddy who operates at Berger garage from his home at Oreta, Ikorodu area of Lagos State had on the faithful day resumed duty hale and hearty but had complained of having headache.

Sources said the man had bought sachet water where he poured on his head and his headache had subsided unknown to many his end was in sight.

“The man was joking with everyone here that his time to die has not come, he said all of you will die before me. All of us here were laughing over the statement,” a driver said.

It was gathered that all the drivers had retarded to their homes at the close of work but Big Daddy decided to rest in his vehicle leaving the radio of his vehicle on.

Sources said, that was not the first time drivers pass their nights at the garage so for him to sleep in his vehicle was nothing new.

But Big Daddy colleagues found him lifeless inside his wound up vehicle the next morning with his radio on.

“Infact I am the one who switched off the radio of his vehicle when he was found dead,” a driver said.

A driver who preferred anonymity said he saw when the man was removed from his vehicle wearing short

“We learnt that his wife died nine months ago and he has always been sad over the incident this may be one of the cause of his death. He was thinking too much,” the driver said.

Corpse of the deceased we gathered has since been removed by policemen from Ojodu Abiodun Police division and deposited at the public morgue for autopsy.
