The Association of Industrial Security and Safety operators of Nigeria has express confidence in the Professionalim of the Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase in tackling crime and corruption.
The association led by its president, Dr Ona Ekhomu made this known during a courtesy visit to the IGP in his office .
Ekhomu expressed confidence in the leadership of the Force, while charging members of the public to be alive to their civic responsibilities of being law abiding, assist police in crime control and providing information about criminals to the Police.
The Association also appealed to government to provide the Police with relevant modern equipment to fight crime as applicable in modern day policing and international best practices.
In his response, the IGP appreciated their pledge to collaborate with the Police while re-emphasizing his commitment to make the welfare of his men paramount and also his thrust on a paradigm shift on strategic plan that will make Nigeria Police operate in line with international standard.
