Customs Harps On Zero Tolerance For Smuggling Activities

Officers of the Nigeria Customs Western Marine Command have been charged to work hand in hand with their Area Controller, Controller Umar Yusuf, to ensure that activities of smugglers on waters are stalled.

This call came during a recent visit to the Command by a team of five Assistant Comptroller Generals- ACG Adeyemo,(T&T), ACG Abueh (I&I); ACG Alu (EXCISE, FTZ & IND. Inc); ACG Odunmaku (HRM) and ACG OKOLI (Training & Staff Development) from Customs Headquarters, Abuja.

According to the team leader ACG Adeyemo (T&T), the aim of the visit is to motivate officers of the Command to put all hands on deck in ensuring “zero tolerance of smuggling activities on the water”.

ACG Adeyemo showing no doubt in Controller Umar Yusuf’s capacity to get the job done, described him as articulate and having a knack for “turning things around, for good, better and even best”.
