Total E&P Nigeria Limited (TEPNG) has announced appointment of two Nigerians to top management positions.
The company appointed Mr. Victor BANDELE as Executive Director, JV District and Mr. Patrick OLINMA as Executive Director, Oil & Gas Commercial.
The two appointments have taken with effect.
Mr. Victor BANDELE is said to have joined then Elf Petroleum Nigeria Limited as a Trainee Reservoir Engineer in 1993 and was involved in many subsurface field management and development activities onshore and offshore, including some non-operated assets of the company until 2004 when he became the Geosciences and Reservoir engineering (GSR) team leader for the offshore OML 99 Assets.
Mr. BANDELE has held important positions in operations, projects and management within Nigeria and overseas including serving as GSR Manager for Akpo Field which was the first deepwater development project executed by Total in Nigeria.
He was Executive General Manager, GSR & Assets management within the JV District from May to September, 2013 and worked as Petroleum Architect in the development Studies entity at Total’s headquarters in Paris for two years.
He returned to the Nigerian subsidiary as Executive General Manager, Special Duties JV District on August 10, 2015 and was on this position till his recent appointment to the Board of Directors of TEPNG as Executive Director, JV District.
In his new position, Mr. Victor BANDELE will oversee activities of the three main technical divisions within the Joint Venture District.He is married with children.
On his own, Mr. Patrick OLINMA joined the company as Legal Counsel in 1996 and has performed various roles as Lead Counsel in negotiation of various Petroleum Sharing Contracts and Joint Venture oil and gas agreements from 2001 to 2003.
He was LNG Marketing Manager in Total S.A. France, Gas & Power Division from January to August 2005 and Lead Commercial Negotiator in Total Gas &Power UK from September 2005 to August 2006. He was appointed Deputy General Manager responsible for Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG) commercial matters within Total organization from January to September, 2007.
In October 2007 Patrick OLINMA was seconded to Nigeria LNG Limited as General Manager Commercialand Head of the Commercial Division. He was responsible for the transformation of the NLNG portfolio of Long term Atlantic Basin LNG Contracts into a global portfolio of flexible and divertible LNG Contracts.
In his new roleMr. OLINMA will have oversight of two divisions: The Crude Oil Commercial and the Gas Business Divisions of Total E&P Nigeria Ltd. He is married with children.
Total has been in the upstream sector of the Nigerian petroleum industry for more than 50 years. The Group’s operated production in Nigeria was 261,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boe/d) in 2013.
Total operates the Akpo field in OML 130, which currently produces on the average170,000 barrels per day of condensate and 350 MMscf/ day of gas and launched the development of the 16 billion dollars Egina field in the same lease in 2013.
When completed, Egina Deepwater project will add 200,000 bbls/day of oil to Total and Nigeria’s production by 2018.
