The Post -Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (Post-UMTE) test may soon come to an end with the introduction of the Computer Based Test (CBT) mode in the examinations.
According to the Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Prof. Dibu Ojerinde, the post-UTME examinations conducted by higher institutions will soon come to an end with the introduction of CBT Mode in UTME.
He said that following the introduction of CBT, examination malpractice as well, other will be completely eradicated with time.
Post-UTME test was introduced because of the level of malpractice that trailed the UTME examinations in the past.
However, the JAMB boss is of the opinion that when examination malpractice in UTME is completely eradicated with the introduction of CBT there will definitely be no need for post-UTME in higher institutions.
According to him, the CBT Mode was also introduced to prepare candidates to face the academic challenges in higher institutions.
