Education Minister Task Staff On Integrity, Credibility

The Minister of Education Mallam Adamu Adamu has challenged civil servants, Directors and senior officers of the ministry to exhibit high level of integrity, propriety and credibility in order to support in achieving the desired change promised by the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.

Adamu said this during an introductory meeting with the permanent Secretary, Directors and other senior officers of the ministry adding that, his appointment has come at a time when the nation is facing serious challenges in almost all areas-security, economic growth, poverty, infrastructure, corruption, healthcare, delivery and education.

“It is our responsibility as a government to address all these issues and to deliver services which will lead to improvement in the standard of living and quality of life for our people.

As you all know, education is one of the four priorities of Buhari Administration. We must therefore roll our sleeves and face the enormous challenge of turning around the fortunes of our country through a decisive revolution in the education sector.

The starting point of this position change is the very foundation of education provisioning, when primary education is in shambles, secondary education is in tatters, there is no way for tertiary and university education to be any better. And by the same token, human capital development and the production of skilled high-level manpower that is needed to drive the economy can hardly be different from what it is today.
