Police Nab Three Robbery Suspects In Ibadan

The Oyo State Police Command have nabbed three inter-state suspected armed robbers in Ibadan. Parading the suspected at Eleyele State Police Headquarters, Ibadan,the state capital,the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Muhammad Kastina,said the suspects had earlier snatched a vehicle from a woman in the early our of Monday at gunpoint in Sagamu,Ogun State.

The commissioner who spoke through the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO),a Deputy Superintendent of Police,Adekunle Ajisebutu, said the suspects were arrested by the Oyo State Ambush Squad when they made a mistake of using the state as a transit to convey the stolen vehicle to Ikirun,Osun State where someone was waiting to receive it from them.

According to the police,the suspects are Azeez Omotoso ‘m’,25 years, a native of Agbeye Odo-Otin,Osun State but resides in Kaara area, Sagamu; Fatai Ademola ‘m’ 27 years, a native of Ikirun,Osun State but resides in GRA,Sagamu and Jimoh Quadri ‘m’ 25, a native of Ede,Osun State but residing at opposite Egbedore Local Government Secretariat,Awo,Osun State. Items recovered from the suspects were one English-made cut-to-size single barrel gun,one kitchen knife,five cartridges,one Samsung Duos,one Black Berry Touch Two and some charms.

Reiterating his earlier statement against criminal elements,the police warned them to leave the state or else they would be entangled in the impenetrable network of the Ambush Squad. While assuring the public of adequate security,the police solicited the support of the public to continue giving useful information that could lead to arrest of ‘criminals’. The police said it had contacted the victim of the robbery.
