Nigerian Airport Safety Professional, Engr. Peter Ochiabutor Onyeri has been honoured with a Fellowship of the Certified Public Administrators of England and Wales. In a citation by the Deputy Director General of the Certified Institute of Public Administrators of Ghana, the African affiliate of the respected United Kingdom body, Engr. Onyeri was recognized for the enormous value his contributions have brought to the development of corporate governance in Africa.
A multi-tasking professional with membership and fellowship of several local and international professional bodies, he is the current president for airport safety in the African region as well as Africa’s representative in the Safety Technical Standing Committee of Airport Council International.
The global organization, with operational base in Montreal, Canada, is the voice of the world’s airports, with a membership of about 2000 airports from around the world. Engr. Onyeri was also the National Chairman on Environment of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, where his activities influenced a number of policies that have impacted positively on environment, both in Nigeria and Africa as a whole.
