The ugly trend of hacking into the accounts of very popular personalities has become commonplace in recent times. The likes of Funke Akindele, Halima Abubakar and Van Vicker have in the past been victims of such an act while others are doing everything possible not to suffer the same fate.
The latest to be affected by the ugly trend is Starboy honcho whose email account was hacked recently by unknown persons prompting his manager, Sunday Are, to release an official statement on the issue. In a well worded release, Sunday Are stated in clear terms that the general public should be aware of this development so that unsuspecting clients do not fall prey of the unscrupulous elements.
“List Entertainment would like to bring to the attention of the general public that the certified email accounts of front-line Nigerian artiste and founder of Starboy Music, Ayo Balogun popularly known as Wizkid has been hacked. The following accounts;”starboybookings@ gmail.com”, ayobalogunwizkid339@ gmail.com and firstname.lastname@example.org are currently being used to send fraudulent emails to business partners and other associates of the artiste.
“The said email accounts are no longer under our control and we want the general public to disregard all mails received from it. All mails should be sent to sunday.are@listentertainmentng. com or call 08033480122, 08059932155, and 08115975110 to enlist the services of Wizkid.” The statement read in full.
